My name is Maura Lenihan and I welcome you to my website. Please feel free to browse and see my lovely cats.
I have been breeding pedigree cats since 1984. I have to date bred 63 Grand Champions, Champions, International Champions, Grand Premiers and Premiers of the Coomakista prefix. To add to that, many of our cats have been awarded Best Exhibit, and some have gone on to be Overall Best in Show.
Many of our cats have also been multiple Merit winners and have helped in the progression of their breeds to Championship status - Asian Selfs, including Bombays and Tiffanies.. Needless to say, we are very proud of our much loved cats. We also have "made up" many beautiful cats not of our own prefix.
Our kittens are born in my bedroom, kissed and cuddled once they are dried and as a result they are well known for their superb temperaments.
Our kittens go to new homes fully vaccinated, wormed and registered with the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy of Ireland and are available only to indoor loving homes. By indoor homes we mean not allowed to roam the countryside, but are in a safe loving home, with a run if possible. I cannot look in my kittens eyes and know that they will not be safe. I am amazed by the people whose former cat was either killed on the road, badly injured or thought to be stolen and still will not commit to keeping a new kitten safe.
We are in a very lovely part of north Tipperary, almost in the centre of the country, very convenient for kitten viewing or collection. Kitten delivery can be arranged if you so wish.
Our breeds are:
Burmese : all colours
Asian Shorthairs : quite a few colours - including Cinnamon
Selkirk Rex - beautiful Curly cats: in many colours including odd eyed whites.
